With bipartisan hearings set to begin in HELP next week, Murray urges Republicans to reject President Trump’s harmful approach and work across the aisle to undo the damage he has caused
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), ranking member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee, issued the following statement on the Trump Administration’s decision to dramatically scale back efforts to help people get covered during the upcoming enrollment period.
“This reckless action by the Trump Administration will directly increase costs for every American family that has insurance and create even more uncertainty on top of the damage President Trump has already done. This latest effort to get in the way of families’ coverage shows yet again why it’s so important that Congress reject President Trump’s harmful approach and act to make sure families don’t have to pay the price for this Administration’s sabotage.”
