New report from government watchdog finds former Health Secretary Tom Price misused government funds for private travel
Price resigned in disgrace last year over reports of his abuse of public funds for private flights
OIG report found 20 improper flights, costing well over $341,000 in taxpayer dollars

(Washington, D.C.) — Today, Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), Ranking Member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee released the following statement in response to a new report from the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) of the Department of Health and Human Services detailing former Secretary of Health and Human Services Tom Price’s repeated misuse of public funds to charter private aircraft trips.
“The findings of this report are clear—former Secretary Price blatantly cheated the public and wasted taxpayer dollars on his personal luxury travel. He should pay back every penny of the $341,000 he owes workers and families.”
