Ranking Member Cassidy Reacts to Supreme Court Decision in Mifepristone Case

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), ranking member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee, released a statement following the Supreme Court’s decision in Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine v. FDA.  

“The Court did not weigh in on the merits of the case, but the fact remains this is a high risk drug that ends the life of an unborn child,” said Dr. Cassidy. “I urge FDA to follow the law and reinstate important safeguards.”
