Senator Burr Statement on the Passing of Former Senator Orrin Hatch

Today, Senator Richard Burr (R-NC), Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, today released the following statement on the passing of former U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch:

“I am deeply saddened by the passing of Orrin Hatch. Orrin was a stalwart of the Senate and a true statesman. He believed in the importance of working across the aisle on common causes, but never compromised in his faith or his principles. It was a privilege to serve alongside and learn from him over the years. Brooke and I send our thoughts and our prayers to Orrin’s beloved wife Elaine, their children, and the entire Hatch family.”
