WASHINGTON – Tomorrow, March 13, the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee will hold a confirmation hearing on the nomination of Dr. David Weldon to be Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The hearing will take place directly after the HELP Committee votes on the nominations of Dr. Jayanta Bhattacharya to be Director of the National Institutes of Health, and Dr. Martin Makary to be Commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
